What a gorgeous day! Temps in the 70s, no humidity. What a glorious day to be out on the golf course.
We had to play the back nine twice because they are aereating the front nine. I explained what that was back on 23 June if you want to read about it and see the pictures 
So…we all like the back nine best…it’s pretty and it’s a bit easier. I started off great with a bogey and a par (on my least favorite hole on the course). Then it all went to hell in a handbasket. I got lazy and stupid…and blew 4 holes in a row. Then, I redeemed myself for the last 3 getting 2 pars and another bogey. I ended the first go-round with a decent score. Those pars saved me…it could have been very ugly.
So now, the goal is to do better on each hole than what you did on the first try. Well, I only did that on 3 of the 9 holes…all the others were worse. Seems I got stupid again. I had a good opportunity to break 100, but I just missed doing it.
We get to try it again on Wednesday.
Next week, however, will be the real challenge. We’ll get to play the front nine twice while they aereate the back nine. It’s harder since more of the tougher holes are on the front. The good news is if you do well, you really feel like you’ve accomplished something. So…we’ll see.
