Yes…Sometimes you’re the bird and sometimes you’re the statue. Wanna venture to guess what I was today?? Yupper…you got it!! I was the statue. As well as I played Wednesday, I did just that poorly today. In fact, I did so bad, I was ready to quit on the third hole and not encumber the other 3 ladies in my foursome. Only reaason I didn’t (although I offered several other times during the round) was that I’m really not a quitter.
Murphy was on my shoulder the entire round. The only thing I didn’t mess up too badly were my drives. I couldn’t hit any other club today. I spent mucho time at the beach and managed to loose 2 sleeves of balls (for the uninformed, that’s 6…yes count ‘em - 6). Oh yeah….did I keep my head down on any shot today? Not on your life. I topped so many balls today, I’m not sure why they still have their covers on. I don’t know what else I can say. Today I sucked the big one and I have bird crap all over me! 
LAW 12: A golfer hitting into your group will always be bigger than anyone in your group. Likewise, a group you accidentally hit into will consist of a football player, a professional wrestler, a convicted murderer and an IRS agent — or some similar combination.
Holding my breath, the Mets are in first place by 1 game. Of course, playing the poor, hapless Washington Nationals helped them win 3 straight, and LA beating the Phillies helped, but now we need to really rally. They’re playing Pittsburgh over the weekend and they’re near the bottom of the Central division. This is always a good thing, but realizing that any team can beat any other team on any given day, I will continue to keep my fingers and toes crossed that they continue this winning streak!
