What an Interesting Day!

We played the front nine twice (for the last time this year - YIPEE). Two different people showed up to play each nine.

Confused? No more than I.

We started on hole #8. For the entire round the first time through, I either parred or bogeyed the hole. I ended up with the best 9 hole score I’ve ever had. Then the real me showed up and everything changed.

I shot 12 strokes worse the second time around because the old me was here. I liked the new me a whole lot better.

I still broke 100, which I was happy for, but had I shot 7 strokes less, I could have broken 90. That is my goal for this year, but since I’ve had a crummy year health-wise, that may or may not happen.

The biggest thing I need to do is to gain some consistency. Nothing brought that home more succinctly than the disparity in the two nine-hole rounds. I don’t know if I psyched myself out by playing so well on the first nine or not…but boy was that end result frustrating!

But…it did show me I had it in me to do it, so i just have to do better…next time :)

LAW 14: Golf balls from the same “sleeve” tend to follow one another, particularly out of bounds or into the water (see Law three)

We’re one and a half games in first place and we beat Atlanta. Hot Dig!!
